Campfire
well_being
The Campfire is one of the earliest Well-Being buildings available to both factions, requiring minimal or no Science Points to unlock. It satisfies the Social Life need for beavers who visit it, providing a gathering place where colony members can socialize and bond. Beavers can visit the Campfire at any time of day, but the actual fire animation only appears at night, creating a charming visual centerpiece for your settlement as beavers huddle around the warm glow after a long day of work.
Social Life is one of the core Well-Being needs in Timberborn, and neglecting it leads to reduced happiness and productivity across your colony. The Campfire is the simplest and cheapest way to address this need in the early game, before more advanced social buildings like the Agora, Dance Hall, or Brazier of Bonding become available. Because beavers only use Well-Being buildings within their own district, each district should have at least one Campfire (or equivalent social building) to keep local residents satisfied.
While the Campfire lacks the capacity and efficiency of larger Well-Being buildings, its low cost makes it ideal for new outposts, small districts, and early colonies still building up their research and resource base. As the colony grows, players can supplement Campfires with more specialized social and recreational buildings. The Campfire also contributes to the visual atmosphere of a settlement, especially when placed in central plazas surrounded by housing and Benches. It remains a staple of colony life from the first day to the endgame.
