Building

Temple

well_being

The Temple is a Well-Being building exclusive to the Folktails faction, requiring 500 Science Points to unlock. It satisfies the Spirituality need at a deeper level than the Contemplation Spot, providing beavers with a more immersive and fulfilling spiritual experience. The Temple is a larger, more elaborate structure that serves as the primary hub for spiritual life in a Folktails colony, drawing beavers seeking a profound connection with the philosophical traditions of their kind.

The Spirituality need is unique to the Folktails faction and reflects their cultural emphasis on wisdom, reflection, and harmony with nature. Beavers who regularly visit the Temple maintain higher Spirituality satisfaction, which contributes to their overall Well-Being score and the movement speed bonuses that come with it. In districts without adequate Spirituality buildings, beavers will gradually become less happy, leading to reduced productivity across all economic activities.

The Temple pairs with the Contemplation Spot to form a complete Spirituality infrastructure for each district. While the Contemplation Spot handles basic spiritual needs at a lower cost, the Temple provides the higher-tier satisfaction that pushes Well-Being scores into premium territory. Placing Temples in prominent locations, perhaps at the center of a district surrounded by decorative Shrubs, Benches, and Statues, creates a visually impressive spiritual quarter that serves both gameplay and aesthetic purposes. The Temple is an essential building for any Folktails colony aiming for maximum beaver happiness.
