Spirituality

spirituality

Spirituality is a positive need in Timberborn that reflects beavers' inner desire for contemplation and connection with nature. In the current version of the game, this need is satisfied through dedicated buildings where beavers can reflect, meditate, and find meaning beyond their daily work routines. Satisfying Spirituality contributes to individual Well-Being scores, helping unlock bonuses to Work Speed, Growth Speed, Movement Speed, and Life Expectancy that come with reaching higher Well-Being thresholds.

The primary buildings that satisfy Spirituality-related needs are the Contemplation Spot (formerly known as the Shrine) and the Agora (formerly the Temple). The Contemplation Spot is a smaller, more affordable structure that costs only 10 Logs and provides a quiet place for individual beavers to reflect. The Agora is a larger, more advanced building that requires Extract to function and provides a higher Well-Being bonus (+3). Folktails also have access to the Dance Hall, which serves both social and spiritual functions with a +5 Well-Being bonus. Beavers visit these buildings during their leisure time, restoring their Spirituality need points with each visit.

To manage Spirituality effectively, players should build a Contemplation Spot early in the colony's development, as it is cheap and provides a quick Well-Being boost. As resources become available, upgrading to an Agora provides a larger bonus but requires a steady Extract supply. Placing spiritual buildings near residential areas reduces travel time and ensures beavers can visit them during their limited leisure hours. Multiple spiritual buildings may be needed in larger colonies or districts spread over wide areas. Since Spirituality is a relatively easy need to satisfy with minimal ongoing resource cost (unlike food or water needs), it represents an efficient investment in overall colony Well-Being.
