Control Tower

The Control Tower is a specialized science building exclusive to the Iron Teeth faction, requiring 1000 Science Points to unlock. It consumes 3 Science Points per hour to operate and provides a passive buff to all Ironbots within a 10-tile radius, increasing their Condition by 1 point. This boost helps Ironbots maintain peak performance, reducing their rate of degradation and extending the intervals between required Charging Station visits. The Control Tower has no worker requirement, functioning automatically as long as it has a supply of Science Points.
The 3 SP per hour consumption means the Control Tower creates an ongoing demand on your colony's science infrastructure. Players must ensure that Inventors, Numbercrunchers, or other science buildings are producing enough surplus Science Points to feed the Control Tower without starving research progress. For colonies with multiple Control Towers, this cost adds up quickly, so a robust science production chain is essential. The tradeoff is worthwhile, however, as boosted Ironbots work more efficiently and require less frequent charging.
Strategic placement of Control Towers maximizes their 10-tile radius buff. Ideally, each Control Tower should cover as many Ironbot work sites and Charging Stations as possible. Building a centralized bot service hub with Charging Stations and a Control Tower at the center of a cluster of bot-staffed workshops creates an efficient zone where Ironbots charge quickly and receive their Condition boost simultaneously. The Control Tower is a key component of the Iron Teeth's late-game automation strategy, transforming Ironbots from merely useful into a highly optimized mechanical workforce.
