The Numbercruncher's 500 hp power demand is one of the highest among non-monument buildings, requiring a robust energy grid to sustain. Players will need multiple Large Water Wheels, Engines, or a Geothermal Engine connected via Power Shafts to keep it running continuously. During droughts when water-based power drops, the Numbercruncher becomes a prime candidate for Clutch-based power triage, as losing research progress is less immediately dangerous than losing water pumps or food production.
