Farmer Monument
decoration_and_monuments
The Farmer Monument is the first faction-specific monument exclusive to the Folktails, requiring 3000 Science Points to unlock. It is a large, imposing statue depicting a Folktail beaver with a bundle of wheat slung over their shoulder, celebrating the agricultural traditions that define the faction's identity. The Farmer Monument satisfies the Awe need within a generous radius, providing a powerful Well-Being boost to all beavers nearby. Introduced in Update 4, it marked the beginning of the monument system that gives players aspirational endgame structures to work toward.
The Awe need is a high-tier Well-Being category that can only be satisfied by monuments, making these structures essential for pushing beaver happiness to its maximum potential. The Farmer Monument's Awe bonus affects all beavers within its radius, regardless of how many other needs they have satisfied, providing a flat happiness boost that stacks with other Well-Being sources. Placing the Farmer Monument in a central location within a densely populated district maximizes its impact, as more beavers will be within range to receive the bonus.
At 3000 Science Points, the Farmer Monument requires substantial research investment and significant construction resources, positioning it as a mid-to-late-game project. It serves as a stepping stone toward even more ambitious Folktails monuments like the Brazier of Bonding (5000 SP) and the Fountain of Joy (7500 SP). The Farmer Monument's agricultural theme makes it a natural centerpiece for farming districts, and its presence visually anchors the colony's identity as a Folktails settlement rooted in the land and its bounty.
