Pillar

paths_and_structures

The Pillar is a vertical structural support column in Timberborn that occupies a single tile and extends upward through one or more levels. Pillars serve both a decorative and structural purpose, allowing players to create convincing support structures beneath platforms, overhangs, and elevated walkways. They give the impression of load-bearing architecture, making multi-story settlements look more realistic and visually grounded.

Pillars can be stacked vertically to reach higher elevations and are often used in combination with Platforms and Overhangs to build elevated plazas, covered markets, and multi-level districts. While Timberborn does not require structural support for suspended platforms from a gameplay mechanics perspective, adding Pillars beneath them greatly improves the visual coherence of a colony. Creative builders frequently use Pillars as columns in grand halls, supports for bridges, or decorative elements in monument plazas.
