Overhang
paths_and_structures
The Overhang is a decorative and structural platform extension in Timberborn that projects outward from existing structures or terrain, creating covered walkways and sheltered areas below. Available in several size variants, Overhangs allow players to add horizontal extensions that beavers can walk on top of while providing shade and visual interest to the spaces underneath. They are a popular tool for creative builders who want to add architectural detail and layered designs to their settlements.
Overhangs are placed by attaching them to the edges of platforms, buildings, or natural terrain blocks. They do not require additional support from below, making them ideal for creating cantilevered balconies, awnings over pathways, and covered plazas. Because beavers can traverse their top surface, Overhangs also serve a functional role in expanding walkable areas without building full platforms. Combining Overhangs with Roofs, Pillars, and other structural elements lets players craft visually striking and architecturally complex colonies.
