Zipline Beam
paths_and_structures
The Zipline Beam is a horizontal structural element used by the Folktails faction in Timberborn to extend and connect zipline infrastructure. Beams provide rigid horizontal spans that bridge gaps between Zipline Pylons and Zipline Stations, allowing the zipline cable network to cross over open spaces, rivers, and other terrain features that would otherwise interrupt the line. They are essential for building zipline routes across complex terrain.
Zipline Beams work in conjunction with Zipline Pylons and Zipline Stations to form complete aerial transportation routes. Players place beams to create horizontal extensions from pylons, reaching across to the next support point or station. This system allows the Folktails to build transit networks that span entire valleys and connect distant districts with fast, one-directional travel. Planning beam placement carefully is important, as ziplines only carry beavers downhill. Effective zipline networks require thoughtful routing to ensure beavers can reach key destinations quickly while having alternative ground-level return paths.
