Tribute to Ingenuity
decoration_and_monuments
The Tribute to Ingenuity is the third and most expensive faction-specific monument exclusive to the Iron Teeth, requiring a staggering 12000 Science Points to unlock. It is the single most expensive building to research in the entire game. The monument depicts a beaver holding up a wooden cube with metal gears on each face, celebrating the mechanical ingenuity that defines the Iron Teeth faction. When powered, the gears on the cube actually turn, adding dynamic visual interest to this already impressive structure. It satisfies the Awe need in a massive 20-tile radius with an +8 Well-Being bonus.
The 12000 SP unlock cost demands an enormous, sustained investment in science production. Iron Teeth colonies will need multiple Numbercrunchers running at full 500 hp power for extended periods to accumulate enough Science Points, which in turn requires a robust power grid. The path to the Tribute to Ingenuity is itself a demonstration of industrial capability: only colonies with mastered power generation, efficient resource chains, and optimized Numbercruncher operations can afford to pursue it. The construction materials are equally demanding, befitting the game's ultimate non-Wonder monument.
The Tribute to Ingenuity's 20-tile radius and +8 Well-Being bonus make it the most powerful Awe provider in the Iron Teeth's arsenal. A single well-placed Tribute can cover an enormous area, potentially serving an entire large district by itself. It represents the capstone of the Iron Teeth monument progression, following the Laborer Monument (3000 SP) and Flame of Unity (5000 SP). Completing this monument signals that a colony is ready for the ultimate endgame challenge: constructing the Earth Repopulator Wonder to achieve final victory.
