Bot Limbs
common
The Bot Limbs recipe manufactures 1 Bot Limb from 3 Gears and 1 Plank at the Bot Part Factory, requiring 150 horsepower and just 0.075 hours (about 4.5 minutes) per batch. This is the fastest Bot Part Factory recipe by a wide margin, but since each complete Bot requires 4 Bot Limbs, the total material cost is substantial: 12 Gears and 4 Planks per set of limbs for a single Bot. Bot Limbs provide the mobility and manipulation capability that allow Timberbots to perform physical labor.
The heavy Gear requirement (3 per Limb, 12 per Bot's full set of 4 Limbs) makes this recipe the single largest consumer of Gears in the Bot production chain. Combined with the 3 Gears needed for the Bot Head, a complete Bot consumes 15 Gears total, representing 45 hours of Gear Workshop production time. This makes Gear production the critical bottleneck in any Bot manufacturing operation. Players who want to produce Bots regularly should invest in at least 4 to 5 Gear Workshops dedicated to Bot component production.
Despite the high material cost, the extremely fast 0.075-hour crafting time means the Bot Part Factory can produce all 4 Limbs for one Bot in about 18 minutes. This speed advantage means you can switch the Bot Part Factory between Limbs, Heads, and Chassis recipes relatively quickly without losing much production time. For an efficient Bot production workflow, produce components in batches: fabricate 4 Limbs, then switch to 1 Head, then 1 Chassis, and finally send all components to the Bot Assembler. Pre-building Limbs during idle periods when other components are being prepared helps maintain a smooth assembly pipeline.
