Bot Assembler

science_and_bots

The Bot Assembler is a science building available to both factions, requiring 750 Science Points to unlock and employing 1 to 2 workers. It is the final stage in the bot production pipeline, where individual components crafted at the Bot Part Factory are combined into a fully functional bot. The recipe for one bot requires 1 Bot Chassis, 1 Bot Head, and 4 Bot Limbs, making it essential to have a well-supplied Bot Part Factory (or several) feeding parts into the Assembler's supply chain.

Once a bot is assembled, it joins the colony's workforce and can be assigned to various buildings just like a beaver worker. For the Iron Teeth faction, assembled bots become Ironbots that require regular charging at a Charging Station and benefit from the proximity of a Control Tower. This creates an ongoing infrastructure requirement: every Ironbot in your fleet needs access to power for charging and ideally a Control Tower boost to maintain peak condition. Planning your Charging Station and Control Tower placement before scaling up bot production prevents bottlenecks.

The Bot Assembler is a critical chokepoint in the bot production chain, and its throughput determines how quickly your colony can scale its automated workforce. Players should ensure that Bot Part Factories are producing parts faster than the Assembler consumes them to avoid idle time. Building multiple Bot Assemblers in parallel, each supplied by dedicated Bot Part Factories, allows rapid fleet expansion. Bots are especially valuable for staffing hazardous or remote work sites, and for maintaining production during drought periods when beaver Well-Being may suffer.
