Bot Limb

bot_component

Bot Limbs are late-game materials in Timberborn, produced at the Bot Part Factory as the most-needed component for bot assembly. Each new bot requires 4 Bot Limbs (along with 1 Bot Chassis and 1 Bot Head), making Limbs the highest-volume bot component by far. This 4:1:1 ratio is the key factor in planning your bot production infrastructure and determines how you allocate factory capacity.

The good news is that Bot Limbs are produced approximately four times faster than Bot Heads and Bot Chassis at the Bot Part Factory. This faster production rate means a single factory dedicated to Limb production can roughly match the output of factories producing the other two components. The recommended factory layout of 3 Bot Part Factories (one per component type) accounts for this rate difference and results in balanced component production.

Maintaining a steady supply of Bot Limbs is critical for continuous bot assembly. While the faster production rate helps, the sheer quantity needed (4 per bot) means any interruption in Limb manufacturing creates a proportionally larger bottleneck than shortages of the other components. Keep your Limb-producing factory powered, staffed, and supplied with raw materials at all times. Building a reserve stock of Bot Limbs in your warehouse ensures the Bot Assembler always has components available when assembly cycles begin.
