Bot Part Factory

science_and_bots

The Bot Part Factory is a science and manufacturing building available to both factions, requiring 500 Science Points to unlock and employing 1 to 2 workers. It is the first step in the bot production pipeline, crafting the individual components needed to assemble functional bots. The factory produces three types of parts: Bot Heads, Bot Chassis, and Bot Limbs. Each part type has its own recipe requiring various refined materials, and a complete bot needs all three component types before it can be assembled at a Bot Assembler.

Managing the Bot Part Factory's production efficiently requires balancing output across all three part types. Since a single bot requires 1 Bot Head, 1 Bot Chassis, and 4 Bot Limbs, players should prioritize Limb production or run multiple factories with different queue priorities. The factory consumes processed materials from your colony's supply chain, so ensuring a steady flow of resources from workshops and refineries is essential. Stockpiling finished parts in nearby storage buildings helps maintain a smooth production pipeline.

The Bot Part Factory is a gateway to one of Timberborn's most powerful late-game mechanics: automated labor through bots. For the Iron Teeth, bots (called Ironbots) can be charged at Charging Stations and enhanced by Control Towers, creating a tireless workforce that operates around the clock. For both factions, bots supplement or replace beaver workers in various buildings, allowing colonies to grow beyond the limits of their beaver population. Investing early in Bot Part Factories and maintaining consistent part production is critical for any player aiming to scale their colony's workforce efficiently.
