Bot Head

bot_component

The Bot Head is a late-game material in Timberborn, produced at the Bot Part Factory as one of three essential components for assembling a new bot. Each bot requires exactly 1 Bot Head, along with 1 Bot Chassis and 4 Bot Limbs. The Bot Head contains the control systems and sensory equipment that allow the mechanical worker to navigate and perform tasks, making it a critical piece of the bot assembly process.

Like the Bot Chassis, Bot Heads are manufactured at the Bot Part Factory, which can be switched between producing any of the three component types. The production time for Bot Heads matches that of Bot Chassis, meaning both components are produced at the same rate. Since each bot needs one of each, this equal production speed simplifies scheduling. The main production planning challenge is coordinating Head and Chassis output with the four Limbs required per bot.

For optimal bot production, dedicate one Bot Part Factory to Head manufacturing and ensure it has consistent access to raw materials and power. The factory should run continuously to maintain a buffer stock of Bot Heads, preventing assembly delays at the Bot Assembler. Since bots are among the most valuable units in the late game (capable of working without food, water, or sleep), investing in reliable Bot Head production is essential for scaling up your automated workforce.
