Large Warehouse

storage

The Large Warehouse is the biggest standard warehouse building in Timberborn, unlocked for 250 Science Points and constructed from 60 Logs and 80 Planks. With a massive 1200-unit storage capacity, it dwarfs both the Small Warehouse (30 units) and Medium Warehouse (200 units), making it the primary high-volume storage solution for established colonies. The building occupies a 3x3 footprint and stands two stories tall, reflecting its enormous internal storage volume. Like all warehouses, it stores a single type of warehouse-compatible solid good per building.

Large Warehouses are the backbone of late-game logistics networks. Their 1200-unit capacity can absorb the output of entire production districts without filling up, preventing the production stalls that plague colonies relying solely on smaller storage buildings. Place Large Warehouses at central distribution points in your colony, ideally accessible from multiple production facilities and residential areas. A single Large Warehouse dedicated to your most-consumed goods (such as food staples or primary construction materials) can stabilize your entire economy by providing a deep buffer against supply fluctuations during droughts or production disruptions.

The significant construction cost of 60 Logs and 80 Planks means Large Warehouses require a mature forestry and lumber industry before they can be built in quantity. Their two-story height and 3x3 footprint also demand careful placement in your colony layout. A popular strategy is stacking Large Warehouses vertically using Platforms and Stairs, creating multi-level storage towers that maximize capacity per ground tile. For even greater storage density, Folktails can build Underground Warehouses, while Iron Teeth can use stackable Industrial Piles. Plan your storage districts early and reserve space for Large Warehouses near your colony's busiest hauling corridors.
