The Stream Gauge's flow rate data is particularly valuable for optimizing Water Wheel placement and dam design. Water Wheels generate power proportional to water flow speed, so placing Stream Gauges upstream and downstream of potential Water Wheel sites helps identify the most productive locations. The contamination readings are equally important for Badwater management, alerting players to rising contamination levels before they become dangerous. This early warning allows time to deploy Badwater Pumps, activate Badwater Domes, or redirect clean water supplies before your beavers drink contaminated fluid.
