The Printing Press turns Paper into Books, completing a production chain that starts with Logs at the Paper Mill.

The full production chain for Books runs from trees through three processing steps: Lumberjack Flags fell trees to produce Logs, Paper Mills convert Logs into Paper, and Printing Presses turn Paper into Books. Each step requires its own building, workers, and in some cases power, making the Book supply chain a meaningful investment. However, the well-being bonus from satisfied reading needs makes this investment worthwhile, as happy beavers work more efficiently.

Plan your Book production based on your colony's population size, as more beavers means more readers consuming Books. Build your Printing Press in a central location with good access to Paper supplies. Since Books are consumed and destroyed when read, demand is ongoing and scales with population.
