Dandelion to Antidote

folktails

The Dandelion to Antidote recipe converts 2 Dandelion into 1 Antidote at the Refinery, a Folktails-exclusive Science building. Each batch takes 1 hour. Antidote is a vital medical supply that cures beavers suffering from Badwater contamination, a condition that occurs when beavers drink or are exposed to toxic Badwater floods. Without Antidote, contaminated beavers slowly deteriorate, potentially leading to death and population decline.

Dandelions are gathered from wild Dandelion plants that grow naturally across the map or can be cultivated at Farmhouses. The Refinery, which also produces Biofuel and Catalyst, serves as the Folktails' primary chemical processing facility. The 2:1 conversion ratio means Antidote production requires a steady supply of Dandelions, particularly during and after Badwater contamination events when demand spikes dramatically. The Herbalist building is where contaminated beavers actually receive their Antidote treatment, so both the Refinery (production) and Herbalist (distribution) are needed for a complete medical response system.

Proactive Antidote management is crucial for colony survival on maps with significant Badwater activity. Stockpile Antidote during clean periods so you have reserves ready when contamination strikes. Since the Refinery handles multiple products, consider building a dedicated Refinery for Antidote production if Badwater events are frequent on your map. Position it near both your Dandelion gathering area and your Herbalist building for fast production and distribution. Combining Antidote production with Contamination Sensors in your automation network allows you to trigger alerts when Badwater contamination rises, giving you advance warning to ramp up Antidote manufacturing.
