Badwater Discharge

landscaping

The Badwater Discharge is an Iron Teeth-exclusive landscaping structure unlocked for 500 Science Points that provides controlled release of Badwater into designated channels. Unlike natural Badwater sources that only flow during Badtide events, the Badwater Discharge can continue outputting Badwater even during droughts when opened, giving Iron Teeth colonies a reliable, year-round supply of this otherwise hazardous fluid. The output can be toggled on or off, providing complete control over when and where Badwater flows through your infrastructure.

The Badwater Discharge transforms Badwater from a pure hazard into a strategic asset for Iron Teeth colonies. By maintaining a constant Badwater flow, you can power Large Water Wheels with contaminated water channels (generating electricity regardless of season), keep your Explosives Factory supplied with raw material for Explosive production, and feed industrial processes that consume Badwater. This continuous flow advantage is one of the Iron Teeth faction's strongest unique capabilities, as other factions must rely on intermittent Badtide events for their Badwater supply.

Careful placement and infrastructure design are essential when using the Badwater Discharge. Route the output through dedicated contaminated channels lined with Levees and Irrigation Barriers to prevent Badwater from reaching your clean water supply or agricultural zones. Use Valve Gates and Sluices at junction points to separate Badwater flows from clean water systems. A well-designed Iron Teeth colony can run parallel water networks: one clean system for drinking, irrigation, and residential use, and one contaminated system powering industry and Explosive production through the Badwater Discharge. This is the Iron Teeth equivalent of the Folktails Badwater Dome, but with the significant advantage of drought-independent operation.
