Triple Lodge
housing
The Triple Lodge is the largest and most capacity-dense housing structure available to the Folktails, sheltering up to 9 beavers in a single building. Costing 500 Science Points to unlock and 35 Logs to construct, this 3x2 structure stands 2 blocks tall and represents the pinnacle of Folktails residential architecture. Like all Folktails housing, the Triple Lodge supports natural breeding, satisfies Sleep and Shelter needs, and transmits power through its solid construction. At 9 inhabitants per building, it offers the best beaver-to-footprint ratio of any Folktails dwelling.
Similar to the Double Lodge, the Triple Lodge features an entrance on the second level, requiring elevated paths, stairs, or creative terrain placement for beaver access. Players can build it one level below the intended access path or use platforms and staircases to reach the elevated doorway. The Triple Lodge can be placed in one-block-deep water without flooding, with damage occurring only when water rises above the entrance level. This makes riverbank and lakeside building viable, turning otherwise unusable terrain into prime residential real estate.
The Triple Lodge should be your go-to housing choice once you have a mature Folktails colony with stable resource production. Its 9-beaver capacity means fewer buildings are needed to house a large population, freeing up space for production facilities, amenities, and infrastructure. When designing dense residential blocks, pair Triple Lodges with Rooftop Terraces for aesthetics and social life fulfillment, and ensure nearby access to food distribution, Water tanks, and recreational buildings. In multi-district colonies, building Triple Lodges in your main production district maximizes the available workforce while keeping the settlement compact and efficient. The upfront cost of 35 Logs is well worth the long-term space savings compared to building three separate Lodges.
