Nutrition Tier 3 is the highest level of the Nutrition need group in Timberborn, representing the most advanced food variety available to beavers. This tier requires consumption of the most processed and complex food items in the game. Satisfying Nutrition 3 provides yet another Well-Being point, pushing beavers closer to the high thresholds where the most powerful bonuses (up to +70% Work Speed, +75% Growth Speed, and +260 days Life Expectancy) become available. Achieving consistent Nutrition 3 satisfaction is a hallmark of a well-developed, late-game colony.

The foods that satisfy Nutrition 3 are the most complex recipes in each faction's production chain. For Folktails, Maple Pastries and other top-tier baked goods fill this role, requiring multiple processing steps and diverse ingredients. For Iron Teeth, advanced products from the Food Factory, including meals combining outputs from the Oil Press and Fermenter, satisfy Tier 3. Corn and Eggplant Rations, Algae-based processed foods, and other multi-ingredient recipes produced in the Food Factory contribute here. Each qualifying food restores approximately 20 Nutrition points toward this tier when consumed.

Reaching consistent Nutrition 3 satisfaction requires a mature production infrastructure. Players need multiple crop types growing simultaneously, dedicated processing buildings for each stage of the food chain, and efficient logistics to move goods between farms, factories, and warehouses. Iron Teeth players should ensure their Fermenter, Oil Press, and Food Factory are all operational and supplied. Folktails need their full cooking chain active, from farms through Grills and Bakeries to final recipes. Stockpiling Tier 3 foods before droughts ensures Well-Being does not crash during dry periods. The compounding effect of all three Nutrition tiers, combined with other Well-Being needs, makes food variety one of the most impactful investments in long-term colony prosperity.
