Advanced Breeding Pod

housing

The Advanced Breeding Pod is the Iron Teeth's premier population growth facility, producing fully grown adult beavers instead of kits. Unlocked at 750 Science Points and requiring 5 Treated Planks and 2 Metal Blocks to construct, this is a significant technological investment that pays dividends through dramatically improved workforce efficiency. Like the standard Breeding Pod, it operates on a 5-day production cycle when constantly supplied with nutrients, but it uses Extract and Berries instead of Water and Berries. The result is a beaver that can immediately join the workforce without any maturation period.

The shift from producing kits to producing adults represents a 10 to 20 percent increase in effective workforce growth compared to standard Breeding Pods. Kits produced by regular Breeding Pods require time to grow into working adults, during which they consume food and Water without contributing to the economy. Advanced Breeding Pods eliminate this unproductive phase entirely, making every resource spent on breeding translate directly into productive labor. The building requires a power connection to operate, tying it into your district's energy infrastructure alongside other advanced Iron Teeth machinery.

Transitioning to Advanced Breeding Pods requires a mature industrial chain: you need a Centrifuge producing Extract from Badwater, Berry farms for the Berries input, Treated Plank production for construction, and Metal Block forging for the building materials. This makes the Advanced Breeding Pod a mid-to-late game upgrade that signals your colony has achieved industrial self-sufficiency. Place your Advanced Breeding Pods near storage facilities stocked with Extract and Berries to minimize delivery times, and ensure your power grid can handle the additional load. In combination with Large Barracks or Large Rowhouses, the Advanced Breeding Pod enables rapid, sustained population scaling for ambitious endgame expansion.
